O Linkin Park levou o Grammy de Melhor Colaboração Rap/Sung pela música "Numb/Encore" do álbum gravado em colaboração com o Jay-Z, Collision Course!
Só pra constar, o Grammy é a premiação mais importante da música. O Linkin Park já havia vencido o Grammy em 2001.
*Atualizado: Mega surpresa durante a apresentação do Linkin Park com o Jay-Z no Grammy. Depois de tocar metade da música vencedora do Grammy, "Numb/Encore", Mike iniciou uma introdução no piano e Paul McCartney [ex-beatle], isso mesmo, entrou no palco e cantou "Yesterday" dos Beatles com o Linkin Park e Jay-Z!.

Em uma recente entrevista para a MTV.com depois do Grammy, o vocalista do Linkin Park, Chester Bennington, revelou que o Snow White Tan, seu projeto solo, só terá seu primeiro álbum lançado em 2007.
Porque Chester estará focado em seus compromissos com o Linkin Park, entre esses compromissos, o novo álbum.
”Foi uma decisão natural.” Disse Chester.
”Meu álbum pode esperar. Agora temos que matar a sede dos fãs do Linkin Park que já estão esperando há 2 anos.”
Completou.
Recentemente, o Linkin Park escolheu o produtor para o próximo álbum, que é Rick Rubin.
”O Rick produziu alguns dos nossos álbuns favoritos, ele é versátil e muito bom.” Disse Mike.
”Qualquer um que pode trabalhar com Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, Slayer, System of a Down, Dixie Chicks e Neil Diamond, para nós, ele pode trabalhar com nosso som também. Nós gostamos de misturar coisas diferentes de uma maneira sem emenda e nós pensamos no Rick, que é um cara que entende muito sobre o assunto.” Completou.
“Nós estamos pensando em grandes coisas novas e isso nos deixa animados com o próximo álbum.
Uma das coisas que eu disse é, ‘Nós não vamos fazer algo que você supõe que o Linkin Park deve fazer, nós vamos fazer o que queremos. Isso é, escrever qualquer coisa que venha em sua mente, desde que você goste.’
Eu acho que o próximo álbum vai ser algo que ninguém pensou que um dia nós poderíamos fazer. Você pode reconhecer o trabalho como do Linkin Park, mas será algo que você nunca viu antes.”
Ainda disse Mike em tom de mistério.

Perdemos as contas de quantas vezes o LINKIN PARK levou o VMB na categoria Melhor Videoclipe Internacional, mas deixando a brincadeira de lado e falando sério...esse ano o LP está mais uma vez e agora RUMO AO TETRA !!!
O banda concorre na edição de 2005 com o clipe Jigga What / Faint do album Collision Course, além do LP, também estão concorrendo: Avril Lavigne, Green Day, Maroon 5, System of a Down, Backstreet Boys e outros.
